2010 Tachyon XC Helmet Cam Paintball Armor

by on 2010/11/18

This is a short video to introduce the Tachyon XC Helmet Camera Paintball Armor to the Paintball and Airsoft community www.tachyoninc.com. We want to thank your community for all of the feedback on our system and ways to protect our camera in your sport. The Tachyon XC paintball armor is a plastic shield designed to fit perfectly around your cameras lens. The paintball armor is not designed to be a fail-safe protection for a direct hit on your lens, but rather a guard to absorb impact, and protect your lens from the majority of hits you will take on the field of battle. The video shows you a great demonstration on how the armor works and is used. Make sure when you place your order on the Tachyon XC website http make sure you write "Tachyon XC Paintball Armor" in the "Remarks" section and we will send you two complimentary pieces for your cam! helmet or bike or take it deep underwater, for recording extreme action, the 3D System even allows you to record ion 3D.

To try and answer everyone’s questions:

You can buy the camera at http://www.tachyoninc.com, the armor is free. If you already have a cam, just email support@tachyoninc.com and we’ll send you some, no charge.

The cam comes with mounts and adhesive accessories so it’s easy to mount it to nearly any helmet.

All camera lenses are glass and a direct hit at close distance can break any lens. The armor will offer added protection and deflect many shots. In these cases, the plastic armor will break and fall off, but it’s better than a broken lens. If you shoot it up close and dead center, there is a chance to break the lens. At normal distance, the armor will deflect the pellet or at worst break. It’s not a 100%, but it’s a great start and it’s free to any Tachyon customer.

Thanks,

Team Tachyon

forgot a couple questions and important ones!

Military guy, 69Polie69, call the number on the website, I’ll see what we can do.

camera condom was our first choice, but didn’t really fit since these are reusable.

so wait the painball armour just absorbs most of the energy but if it got hit with a airsoft pellet, would the lense be damaged at all, or will the armour just fall off?
