I would like to know if you could submerge a spring, bolt-action, or gas airsoft gun underwater and have it still be fully functional?

no. the piston would be unable to function due to water leakages in the gun.

If you submerged a spring airsoft gun, it would work temporarily. The next day water would start causing the spring to rust, and become brittle, and eventually break. The screws would also rust. Not so sure about what would happen to a gas gun.
