This is the original Dual Turbo Fans Paintball Mask Custom Made I re-edited and removed all the music because youtube pulled the other audio clip on my original post of this, because I received so many requests to put another version up and restore the audio here it is, the original minus the AB Rangers audio clip in the beginning and the Bad Company audio in the end, note the bad company clip was about 20 seconds long or so, a real threat to youtube and wmg's profit margin. And I must add to this that as for the battery box if you don't want to mess with that little screw that holds the main battery box onto the mount attached to the helmet you can just use a strip of black electrical tape and run it around the outside edge of the battery box, that holds the two together nicely:) Here's a short video on how to install your own mini fans to defog your paintball mask without having to spend 20 to 30 dollars to buy a pre-made one that don't fit right. The fans are 25mm x 25mm x 10mm, 5 volt, the part number they go by is: # AFB02505MA just put that part number into your favorite search engine and you will see all kinds of links, they sell for about $3.99 to $5.99 each if you search around a bit.

Ditto:)
Thanks for all the info. Its because people like you I got into the sport. Great game and great people !!!!! Keep your head down and see you on the field……..
Same here, they work like a charm especially when there is high humidity in the air, it really clears the stuffyness in the mask, and another thing it will fit your mask perfectly because you custom mount it the way you want to and where you want to, the tough part is finding the cheapest prices on the fan motors, I think the sellers have gotten wise to the fact that paintballers are buying them to make mask defoggers now bigtime so the prices have gone up.
That is a pretty good price today if you don’t buy in bulk like I did for 4 masks, I got mine from: mitek-products, that is the ebay handle for a seller that sells them single and in bulk, when he sells them cheap, and from PChubcom when they have them in stock, just do a search under the fan number# AFB02505MA . Prices have gone up since I made this video on the fans, maybe the sellers have seen an increase on fan sales because of this video:)
Thanks for posting this vid. I always wanted to try this cause I breath heavy and my mask constantly fogs up! It seems I spend more time wiping my mask than playing. Now I know how to eliminate the fog. Once again thanks for the info !!!!!
wat was the website u got the fans off of cuz the cheapest ones i found that was actually on an english website was $5.95 plz write bak thanx in advance
Radio shack is one place to get the battery box and the heat shrink tubing, the fans I don’t know, maybe a computer shop but your going to pay dearly, I get everything off the net, it will be cheaper.
Where can can you buy the parts where you don’t have to order off the internet
Be sure to browse Ebay for the battery boxes in bulk, the ones with the built in switch, and the sane for the motors, just copy and paste the motor number #AFB02505MA on Ebay or google search and do some searching, prices have gone up but still you can get a good deal. Make a deal with your paintball buddies and tell them you’ll install some defoggers, you set the price, then shop for the bulk deals in parts:)
You have to search for the best deal, some of the fans on the net can run from 3.99 each to 12.99 each depending upon where you buy them, we got ours cheaper because we bought them in bulk because we did 4 masks at a time, buying in bulk is sometimes cheaper, It will be cheaper if you get a friend that needs one done too then you can buy in bulk, build some for your friends and make a few bucks and then you can really get better deals on the motors and battery boxes:)
oh nvm i see how it works now. lol
if each fan is 5 volts a piece, how wud 4 AA batteries run em, considering the added up total of the batteries wud only be 9 volts. that wud drain ur batteries quick wudnt it ?…
how did ur setup cost only 8 bucks > ? i tried finding these fans and the cheapest i cud find ONE for was like 7.50 in itself. plz get back to me homie.
Thanks:) Your suggestion/question is a good one, With the battery boxes we use in this video the switch is on the part of the battery box that holds the batteries so in order to have the switch free and easy to get to we had to mount it that way, If your mask has the room so you would be able to get to the switch after it is mounted then that would be even better. Thanks for the excellent suggestion it will help others and give them new ideas:)
awesome instrucional video, ive been wanting one for my mask for a coulple years now, but i didnt wanna pay for one that may or may not fit my goggles. i had thought of building one but never saw it done to give me ideas. One suggestion/question though, wouldnt it be easier when it comes time to change the batteries to have the battery side itself bolted to the mask and not the cover, i think it would be easier to just remove the screw from the outside of the goggles, once again thanks!
Depending upon the protection of your mask and where the fans are mounted rainfall is never an issue with our fan setup, our masks have the visor area covering the fan area so we never have a problem with rain getting in on them, But when it comes to dunking them in water, just like any electrical device, water is a no no:)
wait so if you cant soke it in water what happens if you go to a rainy tournment and hafta play??? or if it rains when your playing :O???its a cool fan
@allmixedup989 Excellent idea, I like the rubber bands idea because like you said the residue from the paintballs don’t allow the tape to stick too good, I used rubbing alcohol to remove the residue but even then I believe the rubber bands would work better, I’m going to try it next time:) Thanks for the input!
just wanted to give a positive follow up comment for your highly instructional video for the fans. I use my setup religiously when I play and it has always helped because I sweat like I am in a sauna.
a helpful tip for when you crack or break the pins that hold the battery pack, is to use a couple rubber bands to hold it together. I tried using electrical tape, but the residue from paint would not allow it to stick for long.
@cotes42 Yea that would be nice and make it even more custom, who knows maybe someday I will re-design this set-up and make another video:)
You know what would be a cool addition to your mod, is adding a fan speed control switch, just like those used for computer fans. then you could just leave the fans on 1/8th speed and the batteries would never run out for a few games and the fans would be quiet too. – good video, just a thought.
Not really, these are 5 volt motors, 9volts will overrun them, this is a AA battery pack that holds 4 AA batteries with an external switch mounted on the outside.
I wouldn’t suggest using 9 volts to power the motors seeing as they are only rated for 5volts:)
the battery box is the same a 9vt battery
At 8:11 on the video the links will come up, it’s been awhile since I did this video so your better off just clicking on the more info on the upper right corner below my handle and name and do a search for the model numbers of the motors. They are all over the net now, they were a little harder to find when I done this video.
