get a jg or echo 1 if you want the batteries to be included.
get a g&g combat machine m4 if you can afford the battery.
i always recommend m4/m16′s for a first gun. they are easy to buy replacement/upgrade parts for.
Hey, we’ve all been there, starting out and trying to get serious about airsoft. I’ve helped a bunch of people find their perfect beginning and next gun. Just email me at saman2014@yahoo.com or better yet, IM me.

I can show you the best sites, I’ll ask you a few questions to help you find the right gun and the right gear for your budget.
I would start off with a Mid level rifle that has a metal gear box.
Check out the rifles that are listed on Airsplat.com

First, I would go to Airsplat.com and check out either their Entry Level AEG’s or the Middle Level AEG’s. Entry Level guns would be for younger players who don’t know anything about Airsoft just to be able to know how they work and get a feel for what you’re playing with. If you’re getting a little more serious, Middle Level Electric is where you’d want to look. You’re going to want to spend a little more money but it’s definitely worth it. Here are the links so you have more of an idea of what you’re looking at.

Thanks for the question, we’re glad to help out. With your budget you have quite a few options.
You’ll see many middle level made in China guns that are full packages that include a gun, battery, charger, and even some accessories.

This category is a great starting point for any beginning airsofter.
or you can opt for some lower level airsoft guns made in Taiwan. Tainese airsoft tend to have better quality control, so in the long run, better longevity and use out of your airsoft gun. But they usually don’t include the battery and charger and guns tend to be more expensive, here’s a couple of examples

there are several decent manufacturers out there that are from china that manufacture tokyo marui clones. this is key because it allows for a low priced gun that can use high grade parts and accessories. JG is a great brand to start off with. it was the first brand i started with and have continuously stuck with and upgraded. i still have my original rifle to this day: http://www.airsplat.com/Items/ERM-BI-M4-3981M.htm
First of all, don’t let anybody mess with you.
There are a few brands which are in your price range and are very reliable.
The first is Echo 1 which is a rebranded JG, I like the Echo 1 better because it is an American company and thus you can actually deal with their customer service.
Then there is JG, which is virtually the same exact gun as an Echo 1, just cheaper, so for your $150 you can get a better gun.
Don’t buy a UTG, their guns tend to die quickly. Also, don’t buy a classic army, as good as they sound they have been eclipsed by echo 1 and jg.
Website: DONT USE AIRSPLAT – they are notorious for late shipments, sending the wrong thing and then charging you for it anyways, or sending you a broken gun. It happenned to be, they said that they had a JG G36, I bought it, they charged my credit card, gave me a fake shipping number, and didn’t ship the gun.
On the other hand, I LOVE:
shortyusa.com
airsoftgi.com
trinityairsoft.com
airsoftmegastore.com (best prices)
Get it at Airsplat! They have great service, really fast shipping and the best prices online – GUARANTEED!!
Personally, I would recommend the JG MP5 RAS Airsoft Electric Rifle 071 http://www.airsplat.com/Items/ERM-JG-M5-R-071.htm. It’s an awesome tactical MP5.
But, any of their Mid-Level AEG’s on the following link would be a great performing model: http://www.airsplat.com/Categories/ERM.htm.
You can always trust Airsoft G.I. for they’re wonderful customer services. They’ll make sure the gun works to your satisfaction level when they ship it.
A good gun would probably be from Echo 1, a few CYMA’s (yes I said CYMA, but come on… They did a good job with the CM030,) and A&K. Good enough for you right?
Hope this helps.
Go to AirsoftGI.com and look in the best-sellers section. They have reasonably priced guns there.
